Genesis 2:4-Genesis 2:25

Introduction

It is clear from the difference in language between Genesis 1:1-Genisis 2:3 and then Genesis 2:4-Genesis 2:25 that the writer is different, and that the language has changed substantially in the times between the two manuscripts. Although there is reason to believe that Genesis 2:4-Genesis 3 are of the same writer, these are different stories, and assumed to be different manuscripts. It seems that Genesis 2:4-8 is simply a transient passage, connecting the elder manuscript to the rest of the passage, but is highly important to discern that the intent of the writer is to show that there are three specific types of mankind, one created with a special purpose, one fundamentally flawed, and the others. Also here, we find the first mention of the name of God, with use of the tetra gammon, YHVH, the closest English translation to the Hebrew numeric, Yod-Heth-Vav-Heth, or YHVH. Most translations use either "Lord" or "Jehovah" and both are in error, "Lord" is actually the sir-title of Ba’al, another name for Satan. And "Jehovah" is a compilation of YHVH and the word "Adonai" in Hebrew, another spurious name. The proper writing of the Holy Name in English is YHVH, and Yahweh, and here in the second manuscript, unlike the first, the Holy Name is used. As to the age of this document, it also is based on the Chaldean, so the Assumption can be made that this passage is somewhere from the time period of Abraham.
